The fierce bad weather on central Macedonia, Thrace and Thessaly on Wednesday night had tragic results: Six confirmed deaths, more than 100 wounded, and a missing fisherman in Nea Kallikratia.
Six dead, information for seventh
Of the six dead, the two died in Nea Plagia, Halkidiki, after falling roof in a taverna . She is a 54-year-old Romanian and her 8-year-old child, with her first losing her life when the roof fell over her, while the young boy died while being transferred to the hospital, as she found it difficult to breathe.
The other two deaths occurred near Potidea Palas from a tree fall, with a 39-year-old Russian and two-year-old son killed.
The other two dead were found in Sozopol, Halkidiki, from a caravan overturned by air! This is a pair of elderly Czechs who were in the caravan.

Already a government step is in the area and the first day of the day began the extraordinary meeting, where the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis (arrived at 06:15 at the Youth Hall of Moudania and a few minutes later the meeting began), Interior Minister Takis Theodorakos, Minister of Macedonia Thrace , Theodoros Karaoglou, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Costas Karamanlis and the General Secretary of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, together with people from the Region of Central Macedonia, the Fire Brigade and the Police, as well as the Municipalities they got out of bad weather. The government team is informed of the situation with the dead and wounded, of the damage that exists, and of the measures to be taken to deal with the situation.
The prime minister, reportedly, has been in constant contact with the ministers in charge of the day, informing him about the evolution of the extreme weather phenomenon and the efforts made by the rescuers.
In an emergency, Halkidiki
Meanwhile, the wider area of Halkidiki has already been declared a state of emergency. The General Secretariat for Civil Protection and the Region of Central Macedonia have alerted all their competent services, which are trying to help hundreds of citizens calling for help.
All volunteer groups in the county have already been activated and all regional engineers have been notified, who will start the process of recording damage to homes and public infrastructures from 5.30 am. At the same time there are PPC’s crews as there are serious electric lighting problems in the areas most affected.
At the same time, the Fire Brigade gives a great fight to get people out of homes and areas that have been destroyed. Together with volunteers, they are helping people in the wider region of Central Macedonia. In particular, companies are involved:

25 firefighters with 5 vehicles from the 2nd Ε.Κ.Α.Κ. and

600 calls for help
Also, Polygyros Business Center received more than 600 calls for help. So far, they have intervened in 235 incidents of rescue, pumping and cutting of trees.
Hail and strong winds also struck in Thrace, Thessaly
Bad weather struck out of Halkidiki several places in Macedonia, Thrace and Thessaly, with disastrous storms, hailstorms and winds that stood at 110 km / h. In Thessaloniki and Eyosmos, the lightning strikes did not stop falling, even with a block of flats, as recorded by a cell phone.
In Rodopi, the bad weather eradicated trees, and many were the damages on the arable land. According to local media, serious damage to thousands of acres, bad weather, and farmers’ waste has been destroyed in a matter of minutes.
In Alexandroupoli, the bourin has destroyed houses and vehicles, and the same situation in Larissa , where crops were destroyed.
