All enablers now met for British travel to Greece – we are Green for go Kefalonia tourism season 2020 !

Following the official statement from Greek government spokesman permitting direct flights from the UK   all hurdles are now cleared for the British tourism (well potentially English) season to commence in Kefalonia and Greece this Summer.

We are still trying to ascertain of the 15 July is an inclusive or exclusive date and will update flight information as it becomes available from the airlines.

We are delighted to hear this long awaited permission to enter Kefalonia . It will be such good news for the Island as tourism has taken such a knock for them. Beautiful island and beautiful people.

Brilliant news! Not only for we Brits, who love the place, but also for the local business owners, who provide a consistently high quality, be it meals, accommodation, car hire, etc! Cannot wait!

Sadly this is not a good thing, businesses and finances can be rebuilt. Lives cannot. It is such a harsh gamble to take with locals on these islands. Britain is not coronavirus free it is still here and still people are catching it. Many people have gone over the top socially since restrictions have been lifted and a second spike is for sure. These island do not have the medical facilities to look after mass out brakes . Good luck to everyone on the island you are going to need it.

If we all follow the guidance and instructions that will be given to tourists and for once try and heed them, then all people should be safe!! People, please Just try a little harder to accept the rules and Not be pig headed and have the usual “it won’t happen to me attitude” and stop being selfish!! Everyone stay safe and enjoy your holiday!!!! Fharisto, Kali Spira!!

Shame the Tui Airlines have cancelled a large number if their flights from Bristol to Kefalonia. We were booked to fly out 10th of September and return on the 20th. Our outbound flight has been cancelled. This is not good for Kefalonia.
