The cooperation between the Ionian Islands Region and the founder of the doctornext2me application, Apostolos Kagelaris, provides free access to the innovative telemedicine platform system, as another service to serve the citizens in the midst of the current health crisis.
The application provides the possibility of secure video calling and communication of patients with a doctor of any specialty.
Through video calling, the doctor has a visual picture of the patient and can give advice and recommendations for any symptoms that may be related to the coronary artery.
“The Ionian Islands Region offers access to the doctornext2me medical advice platform. We take advantage of the possibilities of technology, innovation and volunteerism, so that everyone has direct access to a doctor, adding to our services to our citizens, another useful tool. We warmly thank the Corfu Medical Association and the volunteer doctors from the Medical Association of Athens and other Medical Associations participating in the joint effort to successfully deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, “said Rodi Kratsa-Tratsa, Ionian Islands’ Regional Governor.
In order for citizens to talk to a doctor for free, they are asked to “download” the doctornext2me application (it works from mobile phones, phones, computers, tablets), register on the platform and then they can make a video call with the doctor they want.
