Britain: Travel measures expected to be relaxed at Christmas – Travel to countries belonging to the “red” regions will be allowed

The British Minister of Transport will announce within the day that the quarantine restrictions will end in time for Christmas.

According to the Telegraph, a relaxation of the travel lockdown is expected to be announced, so that families can travel to countries included in the list of high-risk “red areas” to visit relatives.

The restrictions will be reduced from 14 days to five if travelers fail the coronavirus test five days after returning to the country. Regulations will be changed to introduce the new five-day regime on December 15 or 16, with citizens being exempted from quarantine as soon as they start receiving their own test results, according to the Telegraph.
