Greece is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and thousands of tourists visit it every year. It has incredible beaches, green mountains, beautiful cities and picturesque villages that attract tourists from all over the world.

The famous travel book “Conde Nast Traveler” published a few days ago a tribute to the 25 small and charming cities of Europe, with their main feature, as mentioned in the publication, the impressive bell towers and the paved streets. Among them are two Greek destinations, which are in the 8th and 15th places of the list.

The two Greek cities that tourists choose
In 8th place we meet Assos , is a small seaside village in the prefecture of Kefallinia, in the northwestern part of the island of Kefalonia, on the Erissos Peninsula.

Its small harbor receives thousands of tourists during the summer period, going up to the Castle to admire the unique view! The Assos of Kefalonia peninsula dominates the landscape – along with the deep blue sea. It connects with the rest of the island from a narrow strip of land, a sandy “neck” as it is mentioned, on which today a part of the village has been built.

The second Greek region in 15th place is Kastraki , at the foot of the imposing Meteora. It is an idyllic, traditional settlement, which, according to the author of the article, is surrounded by the flower-filled nature and the monasteries of the imposing rocks of Meteora, which have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and have stood in the midst of time .
