Coronavirus: 1,395 new cases, 583 intubated, 102 dead

The number of intubated patients in the country’s ICUs due to coronavirus has increased in the last 24 hours, amounting to 583 (compared to 571). Unfortunately, the number of deaths from the coronavirus, which is estimated at 102 in the last 24 hours (81 were announced on Thursday), is now in the triple digits.

Today we announce  1395 new  cases of the new virus in the country, of which  9  were detected after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is  122648 , of which 52.6% are men.

5076 (4.1%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 34774 (28.4%) are related to an already known case.

583 of  our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 66 years. 169 (29.0%) are women and the rest are men. 76.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 711  patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have  102  more recorded deaths and  3472  deaths in total in the country. 1392 (40.1%) women and the rest men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.0% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
