Coronavirus: 638 new cases -25 dead, 276 intubated

In recent days, both Gikas Majorkinis in the updates on the evolution of the pandemic and other experts have warned of a large increase in both intubation and deaths in the near future, as a result of the many imports that are observed.

The announcement of EODY:
Today we announce  638 new  cases of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), of which  4  were identified after checks at the entrance gates of the country. The total number of cases is  164,575 , of which 51.9% are men. During the tracking it was found that 6,045 (3.7%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 52,595 (61.0%) are related to an already known case.

276 people are treated by intubation. Their median age is 70 years. 198 (71.7%) of the intubated are men. 85.9% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are aged 70 years and older. 1,169  patients have been discharged from the ICU since the beginning of the pandemic.

Finally, we have  25  new deaths from the disease COVID-19, reaching  5.997 deaths total in the country, of which 3,525 (58.8%) men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.6% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
