As part of the work of the KEDE General Assembly on the appointment of new members of the Board of Directors and Supervisors for the new municipal term, the Daphne Sustainable Networks Network General Assembly was held on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Crystal City Hotel.
The convention was chaired by the outgoing President and Deputy Mayor of Kythnos, Mr. George Iliou.
The agenda began with an account of the actions of 2015-2019, which was characterized by the expansion of Daphne to the Ionian Islands, the increase of members from 32 to 48, the multitude of projects implemented or funded, and its participation. Daphne and its members in a variety of European Programs.
Then followed the election of a new Board of Directors which now comprises the following (alphabetically):

The Board of Directors Dafni was formed into a body electing President Dimitrios Lianos, Mayor of Naxos and Small Cyclades, Vice President Mr. Konstantinos Vratsanos, Mayor of Psara and Secretary. Maria Kamma, Mayor of Tilos.
It was further presented by Dafni’s Director General, Mr. Konstantinos Komnenos, and was unanimously approved by the General Assembly, the budget for 2020, and the corresponding planned actions related mainly to providing technical support to members for projects related to:
- The energy upgrading of buildings and lighting as well as the establishment and operation of Energy Communities.
- The development of rural tourism and the promotion of cultural heritage.
- The management of water resources, waste and the promotion of sustainable transport.
At the same time, it was decided to activate the possibility of concluding Planning Contracts between DAFNI and its members, with the aim of providing technical support during the maturing and implementation of projects financed by the Operational Programs.
Finally, the organization of the 1st Annual Conference of Daphne for the fall of 2020 was announced.
