In order to detect the SARS CoV-2 virus in the community in a timely manner and for reasons of proper tracking and identification of the patients, sampling was carried out in untreated wastewater and more specifically in the sewage collection wells of the network, on 27-7-2020.
The presence of SARS CoV-2 virus was not detected during the analysis of the above sample.

The analysis of the sample was performed in a collaborating laboratory with the Real time-PCR method, according to a relevant circular of the Ministry of Health, which indicates the appropriate methods of analysis of the specific samples.
Examination of untreated wastewater samples has been proposed as a complementary tool for monitoring the spread of the SARS CoV-2 virus.
