A total of fifty-seven olive oil and honey producers in Greece were presented with awards at two prestigious international competitions, it was announced on Tuesday by the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET).
Specifically, a grand total of forty olive oil businesses in the regions of Kalamata, Lesvos and Chalkidiki, received awards at the “London International Table Olives Competition 2019,” as well as the “London International Design Olives Competition 2019,” which had an enormous contingent of 400 international contestants.
Another seventeen Greek honey producers took prizes at the recent competition titled the “London Honey Awards 2019.” These businesses, based in the regions of Kalymnos, Andros, Crete, Lakonia, Evrytania, Etoloakarnania and Macedonia, competed against more than 150 international contestants.
In a statement, the EFET congratulated the award-winning Greek companies for excelling in important global competitions with their excellent-quality products.
