ECDC: New maps show deterioration in Greece – In “red” Attica and Crete

In the map of the number of tests performed, the country remains in the deep “green” (over 5,000 per 100,000 inhabitants)

The situation on the front of the coronavirus pandemic remains critical and the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Greece in recent weeks is clearly seen in the updated maps presented on Thursday by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

In the combined map of number of cases – Covid test and positivity index , Attica and Crete are in “red” based on the data of the previous two weeks , while “yellow” are the Peloponnese, Western Sterea, Epirus, Ionian Islands, Thessaly, Western Macedonia , Cyclades and Dodecanese. The rest of Macedonia, Thrace, Evia, Central Sterea and the islands of the northeastern Aegean remain in the “green”.

Differences are observed in the last week in  the positive index , as after several weeks with the whole country in the “green” (below 1%),  Attica and Crete  went to the “yellow” (from 1% to 3.9%).
