24 additional new tourism enterprises in the Ionian Islands are subsidized with € 4,231,924.81 by the OP “Ionian Islands 2014-2020” by decision of the Ionian Regional Governor Th. Galiatsatos.
These are investment proposals made in the framework of Action “Strengthening the establishment and operation of new tourism SMEs”, with the management of EAN EPANEK, together with the contribution of the required resources.
The above inclusions apply to new tourism businesses (hotels, furnished houses and apartments, etc.) in all the islands which are subsidized by 50% of their total investment budget.
A total of 45 tourism investments have been included in the RIP to date , with a grant of € 7,713,447.14 and a total investment budget of € 15,426,894.36.
It is noted that, by decision of the recent 5 th meeting of the OP Monitoring Committee allocated an additional amount of 3.500.000 € for ESA Restart to include other tourism investment proposals in Ionian Islands shortly.
The action forms part of Priority Axis 1 – ‘Enhancing regional competitiveness through the development of entrepreneurship, innovation & ICT’ of the OP. Ionian Islands 2014-2020 and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
