According to the decision (Government Gazette 4915 / Β / 31.12.2019) signed by the Ministers of Tourism Mr. Haris Theocharis, Mr. Labor and Social Affairs Mr. Yiannis Broutsis and the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis, beneficiaries of the regular unemployment subsidy At least 80 working days instead of 100 days in the OAED unemployment insurance sector are the insured persons who meet the following conditions:
– Employed in 2019 in companies affiliated with Thomas Cook Group PLC.
– Employed in 2019 in companies whose value of taxable outputs from 1/1/2019 to 30/9/2019 by Thomas Cook Group PLC exceeded 25% of the total value of outputs of the same space.
– Their employment relationship either expired (Fixed Time Contract) or was terminated by the company after 23/9/2019.
To be included in this subsidy, in addition to the supporting documents required by the Regulations on Regular Unemployment Subsidy, the insured have to provide, in each case, a statement of undertakings in accordance with Law 1599/1986 stating their association with company “Thomas Cook Group PLC”, decision to suspend payment of VAT of Art. 7 of Law 4638/2019 (A181), by the Head of the relevant TWO or a certificate from the company for all taxable outputs for the period from 1/1/2019 to 30/9/2019 and for all taxable persons outflows from the Thomas Cook Group PLC for the same period. For the beneficiaries, the duration of the regular unemployment subsidy is extended by one month, which is set at four months and five days.
