Greek Coronavirus daily update: 264 new cases today with 29 detected at borders

The report on the new cases of coronavirus recorded in Greece in the last twenty-four hours, was published by EODY.

The announcement of EODY for the new cases of coronavirus in the country states the following:

Today we announce  264 new  cases of the new virus in the country, of which  29  were detected following checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is  8,381 , of which 55.1% are men.

1832 (21.9%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 3842 (45.8%) are related to an already known case.

31 of  our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 68 years. 7 (22.6%) are women and the rest are men. 41.9% have an underlying disease or are aged 70 and over. 143  patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have  2  more recorded deaths and  240  deaths in total in the country. 84 (35.0%) women and the rest men. The median age of our dying fellow citizens was 77 years and 94.6% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.

EODY also published the “map” of the coronavirus, which shows in detail where the new cases were identified . According to the “map”, both Attica and Thessaloniki record a high number of infections, for another day.
