Greek coronavirus update – 18 new cases today (11 linked to a known previous case) and no further deaths

So today, the professor of infectious diseases and a representative of the Ministry of Health for coronavirus, announced that there are 18 new cases in Greece and a total of 2,903.

“18 new cases of the SARS-CoV-2 corona are being announced in our country. The 11 concern a known series of cases and the 2 controls of repatriates. The total number of cases is 2903, of which 55.2% are men.

Of these, 627 (21.6%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1645 (56.7%) are related to an already known case. 17 of our fellow citizens are being treated intubated. Their average age is 70 years. 4 (23.5%) are women and the rest are men.

82.4% have an underlying disease or are over 70 years old. 102 patients have been discharged from the ICU. Finally, today we have no recorded deaths . The total number of deaths in the country is 173. 52 were women (30.1%) and the rest were men.

The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 76 years and 94.8% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 and older. A total of 166245 clinical samples have been tested.
