The announcements by the Ministry of Health regarding the development of the corona pandemic in Greece are in progress.
The Director of the Directorate of Health (DYG) of GEA, Deputy Chief of Staff, Dimitris Chatzigeorgiou, who made the announcement today, announced 2 new cases of coronavirus in our country with the total now reaching 2,878. Of the total cases, 55.2% are men, while 626 of the cases are related to travel abroad.
Positive messages are also coming from the ICUs as our intubated fellow citizens have been reduced to 19 fellow citizens. Their average age is 70 years, while 100 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
No deaths have been reported in our country in the last 24 hours, leaving a total of 171 deaths. The 50 were women (29.2%) and the rest were men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 76 years and 94.7% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 and older.
A total of 152,998 clinical samples have been tested.
