The foxes were found dead by tourists on one of Halkidiki’s most famous beaches.
Three foxes were found dead in Sithonia, Halkidiki.
A vacationer accidentally spotted the dead animals a few days ago in a forest area above the “Kavourotryps” of Sarti, while the Agios Nikolaos Police Department and the Chalkidiki Veterinary Service were informed.
The cause of death is being investigated by a specialist laboratory in Athens where samples were transferred and the results are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
As it became known, the dead animals did not have any visible injuries, which reinforces the version that their deaths were due to poisoning.
