Hardalias: The beginning of the end of the pandemic is the vaccine, we continue to adhere to the measures

“Hope is here now!” notes the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias , in a post on his personal Facebook page, shortly after the arrival and storage in Athens of the first vaccines against covid-19. However, he points out that the arrival of the vaccine does not mean the end of the pandemic. “It simply marked the beginning of its end” and emphasizes that “continuing to adhere faithfully, strictly and with the same persistence to the measures, […] in several weeks, in a few months, with slow, steady but sure steps we will begin to we take back our lives “.

The Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalias, writes in detail on Facebook:

“Hope is here now!

The vaccine travelled safely, in the conditions needed and with the care needed from our northern borders to the central storage hub here in Athens.

And from tomorrow, Elpida will take its place in the hearts of the Greeks, in a unique bet of Freedom of the citizens of our country, of Europe, of the whole planet, against the most insidious, the absolutely invisible world enemy.

Continuing to follow the measures faithfully, strictly and with the same persistence, without excuses and pretexts, wearing masks, keeping distances and avoiding unnecessary movements and dangerous crowds, and especially listening to our scientists, in several weeks, in a few months, slowly, with steady but sure steps we will begin to take back our lives.

The end of the pandemic did not come with the advent of the vaccine, it simply marked the beginning of its end and Hope now accompanies all of us, our very daily lives. Patience, perseverance, composure a little more, to reach the end healthy together with all those we love. “
