Holy Light Arriving Saturday Night in Kefalonia (20:45) Via Special Aegean Flight

Holy Light: Being transfered to 14 destinations on Holy Saturday

 

With three aircraft, the  Holy Light will be transported from Aegean on Holy  Saturday. In total, the Light will be transferred to 14 destinations.

The aircraft, which will depart immediately after the arrival of the Holy Light from Jerusalem, will be directed to three geographical destinations: One to the Aegean, one to the Ionian and one to Central Greece.

In particular, flights will be made exclusively for the transfer of the Holy Light to: Ioannina, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Samos, Mykonos and Larissa.

According to the company’s estimates, the scheduled time of arrival at the last destination for each sector will be from 20:00 until 22:00.

On the Big Saturday, April 27, 2019, the scheduled services for the transportation of the Holy Light will be as follows:

Athens – Ioannina (ATH – IOA) 19:00 – 20:00

Ioannina – Kefalonia (IAA – EFL) 20:10 – 20:45

Kefalonia – Zakynthos (EFL – ZTH) 20:55 – 21:15

Zakynthos – Athens (ZTH – ATH) 21:25 – 22:05

Athens – Samos (ATH-SMI) 19:00 – 19:50

Samos – Mykonos (SMI – JMK) 20:00 – 20:30

Mykonos – Athens (JMK – ATH) 20:40 – 21:10

At the same time, the transfer of the Holy Light on the Holy Saturday will take place on the 8 scheduled flights of Aegean and Olympic Air to Santorini, Mytilene, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Alexandroupolis, Heraklion, Lemnos and Chios as follows:

As every year, AEGEAN also offers this year’s Holy Week (from Monday to Saturday) a memorable menu, respecting customs for the 20th consecutive year. On all flights, during the Holy Week, a mushroom bowl is offered, while on Sunday and Easter Monday a gourmet menu will be offered as well as Easter brips to passengers of all flights of the AEGEAN and Olympic Air network.

In addition, from Easter Wednesday to Easter Sunday, chocolates are offered to all children aged up to 12 years old.

On Saturday, the cabin crew will distribute to passengers of all flights abroad to Greece and all flights of the internal network of AEGEAN and Olympic Air, pastel candles.

At the same time, the cabin crew on the flights to Corfu offers all passengers from Holy Tuesday to Holy Saturday morning, clay pots, encouraging them to observe the custom of the Botids and break them during the first Resurrection.
