Kefalonia: Two independent ramps for disabled people at sea are installed in Sami and Lixouri

Autonomous disabled access ramps were installed yesterday at Sami beach and Lepeda beach in Lixouri, Kefalonia and are fully operational so that people with mobility problems can have easy access.

It is a project of the Regional Unit of Kefalonia-Ithaca and the placement was attended by the Vice-Mayor of Kefalonia-Ithaca, Panagis Drakoulogonas. The ramps are accessible by car and in addition to the built-in power switch they operate and control for the best service of the bathers, while being energy-efficient.

It is noted that the contract of the Regional Unit of Kefalonia-Ithaca with the contractor provides for the dismantling of the ramps and the maintenance at the end of the bathing season, with their re-installation in May.
