Mahiritsas: The cause of his death -The last difficult hours of the singer in Volos

Shocked by the news that the famous singer Lavrentis Mahairitsas died at the age of 63 suddenly and unexpectedly passed away . The songwriter had spent the last few days at his home in Pteleos Magnesia after his concert with Nikos Portokaloglou in Volos.

The singer was transported from his home in Volos to the hospital at 6:45 in the morning but was already dead. The doctors made efforts to reconcile but unfortunately failed to restore him.A concert in Herodion with Nikos Portokaloglou was scheduled for tomorrow. The two artists had a great summer tour that would end tomorrow at Herodion. The concert was charitable and I would give it to the “Together for the Child” association.

Mahairitsas was born on November 5, 1956 in Nea Ionia ,Volos. From a very young age he came into contact with music. He will later work manually in the recording studio of a recording company, where he will later coincidentally release his first album in 1978 with an English song called “PLJ Band” entitled ‘Gaspar’, an extended play 45 ‘turn.

There are a number of jobs to follow, and after his military service he begins to sing guerrillas with Panos Tzavela at “Comrade”. In his 20s he created the band PLJ with Paul Cikrilis and Takis Vassalakis. In 1983 when the band’s second album was released, the latter was renamed “Termites”, a name that refers to the Beatles. In 1989 he began his personal career as a composer and performer.
