Good time to remind everyone about this great museum with the weather being a bit damp at the moment.
Open every day will be the Museum of Radio, Radio and Telecommunication Material, a unique exhibition space in Argostoli that travels the visitor in time, at a different time, away from today’s technology and modern telecommunication. The Museum has two modules:
1. Old radios and telephones, radio and telecommunication receivers
2. Traditional professions
From the beginning of the 20th century, there are about 100 table-top radios, tape recorders, picnics, various radio stations for individual and military use, transceivers, CBs, old emitting and receiving lamps, telephone sets and old-fashioned telephone cameras. All the exhibits are in excellent condition and the visitor can operate them. The exhibits have been collected and maintained with great love and passion by Mr. Charalampos Makris, who has been working for more than 20 years searching and renewing his collection. Also hosted is the exhibition “Traditional Professions”, professions that were lost in time …
