New Emergency weather forecast – snow from Kefalonia south @300M elevation

From tonight Sunday (17-01-2021) a new deterioration of the weather is forecast, which will affect from the southwest until tomorrow Monday (18-01-2021) the southern main country, with main characteristics:

1. THE SNOWFALLS
a. In the Ionian Islands from Kefalonia and further south and the western Peloponnese and in areas with low altitude (approximately 300 meters) on Monday until the afternoon, which will be temporarily dense in the morning.
b. In Halkidiki, the islands of the eastern Aegean and in the plains areas, from today Sunday until late Monday afternoon, at times dense mainly in Halkidiki.
c. In the eastern Peloponnese, eastern Sterea, Evia, eastern Thessaly (mainly Magnesia), the Sporades and in
lowland areas, as well as in the mountains and semi-mountains of the Cyclades and Crete. The snowfall will be locally heavy until late Monday afternoon and will gradually weaken.
d. From noon in the mountains of the Dodecanese.

2. HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS
a. In the Ionian Islands from Kefalonia and further south and the coastal areas of the western Peloponnese from Sunday night until the early hours of Monday.
b. In the area of ​​Kythera and the southern Peloponnese from the early morning until noon on Monday.
c. In the Cyclades (mainly western and southern) and mainly in Crete from the mornings until the afternoon hours of Monday.
d. In the southern areas of the Dodecanese (Kassos, Karpathos) and probably the area of ​​Kastellorizo, from the noon hours until late Monday afternoon.

3. STORMY WINDS
East directions 7 to 8 Beaufort, which will prevail in the southern seas on Monday.
