New, stricter measures: Towards country enforcement of restricted hours in entertainment venues

New measures by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus

The government is rapidly moving forward with new measures regarding the coronavirus front and preventing its rapid spread. During the day, there are expected to be announcements from the government and as Spyros Mourelatos broadcast from the frequency of Open TV, the possibility of horizontal imposition (all Greece)  of hours in the entertainment centers (bars, cafes etc.) is likely until midnight.

Also on the table is the extension of the Maltese model , ie the presentation of a mandatory 72-hour test for other countries that have a high epidemiological burden. There is great concern about our northern borders with Albania , Serbia , Romania and it is being considered whether the measures that have been in force for weeks will be expanded or tightened.

The possibility of finally holding the Thessaloniki International Fair is being ruled out , but even if it is held, under other conditions, it is doubtful whether the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will be present.

Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias in a statement after the teleconference held on Monday (10/8) under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said: “Unfortunately, the transmission of the virus is dangerously increasing . I call once again on the youth and the citizens who do not comply with the basic measures of personal protection, masks, hygiene rules, safety distances, to consider their responsibilities towards the vulnerable groups, the rest of our fellow citizens and the country.

Announcements of final measures will follow later from the Presidency of the Government “.
