Pictures over the last two years from dives at HMS Perseus sunk in 1941

Visiting the “HMS Perseus”, sunk on 6th December 1941 in the vicinity of Kefalonia Island, Greece.
The submarine essentially constitutes a time capsule.

This is a story of Suffering and Agony in wartime for her crew and all people involved, Struggle for life and Survival (only one escaped and swam to Kefalonia, out of 61 men onboard), Solidarity and Self-sacrifice (locals hid the sole survivor for 18 months risking their lives and those of their families).

This is a monument of the past and a lesson for the future.
