CITIZENS ‘INFORMATION ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC AND THE APPLICATION OF ITS RESTRICTIONS

The Ionian Islands Region continues to regularly inform citizens by gathering information from EODY, the Greek Police, the Coast Guard, the Fire Service, and the Services of the Regional Units of the Ionian Islands.

The daily information program from the Ministry of Health and the General Secretariat for Civil Protection meets the need for information throughout the country and is the only source of official information.

PLEASE systematically follow the established official information provided at 6pm by the Professor of Infectious Diseases Sotiris Tsiodras and the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias.

We remind you that:
• Correct information and prevention are our “weapons” in dealing with the mockery.
• The fewer our movements, the fewer the cases
• We pay special attention to people who belong to vulnerable groups and are around us
• The fewest cases increase the chances of effective treatment
• The implementation of protection measures is extended until April 27, 2020

INFORMATION FROM EODY ON THE CASES OF CORONAVIRUS IN THE REGION OF IONIAN ISLANDS

According to the EODY Report (April 10, 2020), the findings from the epidemiological surveillance of the disease by the new coronavirus (COVID-19) remain a total of 5, and the recorded cases in the Ionian Islands Region are as follows:
• REGIONAL CENTER cases
• REGIONAL UNIT OF LEFKADA: 1 case
• REGIONAL UNIT OF KEFALONIA: 1 case & ITHACA: 0 cases
• REGIONAL UNIT 1 ZAKYNTHOS

These are 3 men and 2 women avaerge Age: 65 years

* The treatment of the two cases of Corfu continues at the University General Hospital of Ioannina and the case of Lefkada at the University General Hospital of Patras, one (new) case of Corfu, one case of Kefalonia and one case of (new) case of Z. home restraint.
** The samples sent in the last 24 hours to the Pasteur Institute by the General Hospitals of the Ionian Islands Regional Units came out NEXT to the coronaio.

According to the Report of PHEA the findings of the epidemiological surveillance of the disease by the new coronavirus (COVID-19) a total of 12, are recorded cases in the Region of Ionian Islands and are as follows:
• REGIONAL UNIT CORFU: 4 cases
• REGIONAL SECTION OF LEFKADA : 1 case
• REGIONAL UNIT KEFALONIA: 1 case & ITHACA: 0 cases
• REGIONAL UNIT Zakynthos: 6 cases
These seven men and five women
Age: 58, 59, 56, 52, 67, 63, 30, 64, 74, 69 , 29, 56 || MO: 56 years old
Deaths: 2 (of which – a man from Zakynthos and a man from Corfu)

APPLICATION OF TRAFFIC RESTRICTION MEASURES

• REGIONAL UNIT OF CORFU:
A) In the last 24 hours (09.04.2020), during the implementation of the traffic restriction measure, they were certified by the POLICE DIRECTORATE for unscheduled inspections, 71 traffic violations and 121 violations.
B) 236 inspections were carried out throughout the 24-hour period (09.04.2020) by the KERKKYRAS PORT AUTHORITY in the area of ​​its jurisdiction (port and land zone it supervises) and no violations were confirmed.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF LEFKADA:
A) In the last 24 hours (09.04.2020), during the implementation of the traffic restriction measure, they were certified by the POLICE DIRECTORATE for unscheduled inspections, 4 inadvertently paid fines, 8 violations were imposed and imposed. .
B) From the LEFKADA MUNICIPALITY, 377 inspections were carried out throughout the 24-hour period (09.04.2020) in the area of ​​its jurisdiction (port and land zone it supervises) and no violations were confirmed.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF KEFALONIA & ITHAKIS:
A) In the last 24 hours (09.04.2020), during the implementation of the traffic restriction measure, 7 offenses were recorded.
B) The Kefalonia Port Authority conducted 246 inspections throughout its 24-hour period (09.04.2020) in its jurisdiction (port and territorial zone it supervises) and no violations were confirmed.
The ITHAKIS PORT AUTHORITY carried out 38 inspections throughout its 24-hour period (09.04.2020) in its jurisdiction (port and land zone it monitors) and no violations were confirmed.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF ZAKYNTHOS:
A) In the last 24 hours (09.04.2020), during the implementation of the traffic restriction measure, they were certified by the POLICE DIRECTORATE for pointless traffic checks 3 traffic moves, 6 violations were imposed and imposed .
B) The ZAKYNTHOS PORT AUTHORITY carried out 98 inspections throughout its 24 hours (09.04.2020) in its area of ​​jurisdiction (port and land zone it supervises) and imposed fines for 1 infringement for unnecessary traffic that does not fall under the exceptions and exceptions 2 for movement without a certificate of movement.

MANAGEMENT OF STORE CONTROLS 

• REGIONAL UNIT OF CORFU:
From the Department of Environmental Hygiene & Health Control on 09.04.2020 the inspections in health stores continued normally, instructions were given, recommendations were made on a case-by-case basis and no violations were found.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF LEFKADA:
The Department of Environmental Health & Hygiene on 09.04.2020 9 health inspections have been carried out in food disposal companies, food delivery companies and catering companies.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF KEFALONIA & ITHAKIS:
From the Department of Environmental Hygiene & Health Control on 09.04.2020, the inspections in the supermarkets of the wider area of ​​Argostolaki and in sales companies continued normally. Compliance with the provisions of the circular of the Ministry of Health was found.

• REGIONAL UNIT OF ZAKYNTHOS:
The Department of Environmental Health & Hygienic Inspection on 09.04.2020 carried out 10 health inspections in retail companies, food inspections, food control tests, mass catering operations, in transport vehicles.

BLOOD DONATION

• REGIONAL UNIT OF CORFU:
From the GENERAL HOSPITAL OF CORFU, blood donation is carried out from Monday to Friday from 9am to 13pm from 9am to 13.30pm and from 17.30pm to 7.30pm in the building of the Corfu Medical Clinic. On Saturday, blood donation is carried out from 9 am to 14 pm and on Saturday / Sunday, blood donation is performed by the Mobile Unit if there is a request from an Institution / Association.

From the GENERAL HOSPITAL OF LEFKADA, blood donation is carried out from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm at the facilities of the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Lefkada. Also, blood donation is carried out from Monday to Friday from 18.30pm to 20pm and Saturday-Sunday and Holidays from 11am to 13pm at the Lefkada Hospital.

Friday from 9 am to 13 pm at the premises of the Blood Donation Department with access from its separate entrance from that entrance.

blood donation is carried out from 8.30am to 16.30pm at the premises of the Blood Donation Department, which is temporarily housed in the Gaitan Ecclesiastical Center.
