Poros Bailey Bridge has been repaired but its delivery to traffic is delayed a while longer.
Yesterday Thursday, the Army Studies and Construction Unit (MOMKA) with the director of Lieutenant General Michalis Klouva completed the work on construction of a mesoper, the installation of a reserve and the replacement of a bridge deck from which vehicles weighing up to 25 tonnes will be allowed to cross.
In accordance with the plan of the project, we inform you that the proposed traffic start is Monday, November 1, 2021 at 08:00 am,
The 10-day delay in project delivery is due to the time of coagulation and hardening of the hardwork.
We regret the inconvenience caused by this further forced extension of a short term, however we are convinced that the level of safety and the quality of repair of the ′′ new ′′ old Poros bridge will reward the drivers and residents of the area for the patience they demonstrated The whole period of reconstruction and upgrading of the bridge, whom we thank for their understanding.
