Greece’s passenger ferry service will be disrupted on Wednesday, July 3, as the Pan-Hellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO) has announced a 24-hour strike.
All ferries will remain docked at the country’s ports from 00:01 until 24:00.
The PNO decided to proceed with a strike after reviewing proposals by the Greek Shipowners Association for Passenger Ships (SEEN) involving a new collective labour agreement for seamen. The federation deemed the proposals as “unsatisfactory”.
Travellers who have booked ferry tickets for July 3, are advised to check with their travel agents or contact local port authorities for further information.
