ABOUT SARISTRA FESTIVAL
Saristra Festival took its name from the square of the mountain village of Vlachata Sami. The idea of exploiting the public space and in particular an abandoned village leads to reconnection with the past and the creation of a new collective memory. The old village feast transforms into a modern kind of entertainment and entertainment built in today’s terms.
It is the most important artistic event of the Ionian Islands, a musical and visual festival in the ruins of the old village of Vlachata Kefalonia. Fine art exhibitions, film screenings, seminars and lectures as well as activities for children are housed in the ruins of the houses. In cooperation with the Athens Video Art Festival, there are installations and works of Video Art creators from Greece and abroad.
Saristra Festival manages and achieves a challenging goal, to attract people of all ages. The variety of activities, the peculiarity of the space and the free admission shape the diversity in the public, rare for an artistic festival. The majority of visitors are young mainly from Greece and abroad who are looking for a contemporary experience in a natural landscape full of memories of the past.

Some of the performing Artists
Soft Skull is a quartet from Athens created at the end of 2015. Their sound has clear references to noise / Kraut / Psychedelic Rock, although there is a lot of differentiation between compositions, due to various akousmátōn and influences. A link between the tracks is noisy, LO-fi, reverberated guitars, monotonous, distorted bass, full-attack attack by synths and repetitive and sometimes broken beats. Soon the release of their first lp is expected, ” death $$”
Blaine L. Reininger is an American post-punk, new wave and alternative pop singer, songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist (particularly violin).
