Step by step guide to obtaining your biometric pass in Kefalonia

The signals from the early pioneers who have been trail breaking this week is positive, they are close to “Biometric Pass” and so far the local guide Andreas has made the trail smooth. At present they are resting up while he opens a small blockage at “Print Finger Junction” which he expects to clear next week following that the trail is fully open.

They report followers who are well prepared should expect a smooth journey along the trail however mavericks may well encounter mantraps!

Steps to Biometric

Step 1

1. Ring Andreas at Argostoli police station on 2671027839 and get an appointment time, ensure he provides details for your application
   1. Beige to 5 year biometric
   2. Beige with supporting documents proving residence of 5 years to 10 year biometric
   3. Blue held under 5 years to 10 year biometric
   4. Blue held over 5 years to 10 year biometric

Step 2

1. Obtain photographs, this will be easier next week as more shops will be open and we have 2 hour slots from sending SMS to 13033, Photoland is already open and they know the size required for biometric pass and that a CD copy is not required.

Step 3

1. Pay 16€ paravalo using code  2296, this can be done in numerous ways;
   1. If you have AFM and e-banking via your bank transactions (print receipt it has a unique code)
   2. Without AFM (children  most likely)  fill in form at https://www1.gsis.gr/sgsisapps/eparavolo/public/welcome.htm and then pay online or at bank or post office.
   3. Go to KEP get them to fill in form then pay at Post Office or bank
   4. Ensure you have receipt of payment for including in documentation set as proof of payment.

Step 4

1. Attend appointment with Andreas at police station
   1. Beige to 5 year biometric documents
      1. 4 photos in colour
      2. payment of €16 on code 2296
      3. Medical insurance that will cover medical treatment, not life insurance 0r AMKA via S1).
      4. One copy of passport
      5. proof of income
      6. utility bill for your property as an owner.
      7. Residency card

1. 1. Beige to 10 year biometric documents (with proof documentation)
      1. 4 photos in colour
      2. payment of €16 on code 2296
      3. One copy of passport
      4. Health insurance statement from Efka if you have been working here and have an Amka or S1.
      5. 5 years of tax returns
      6.  Residency card

Step 5

1. 1. You will be issued with a temporary paper as your old residence pass will be taken away (ensure you have a copy for future reference)
   2. If the finger print area is in operation your finger prints will be taken at Argostoli police station or you will be asked to return when it is operational.

Step 6
