Identifying coronary heart disease , that is, identifying by tracing who has been exposed to the virus and where, remains one of the top priorities in order to maintain the country’s good epidemiological picture.
According to the new epidemiological report of EODY, experts still have a good idea of which cases are associated with travel and which are contacts of known cases. In particular, according to the latest report, out of a total of 3068 cases, 692 (22.6%) are related to travel from abroad, 1751 (57.1%) are related to an already known case and the rest are not related to travel or anything else. known case or is still under investigation. In other words, it turns out that without a clear source of origin or transmission is only 20.3% of cases, ie about 2 out of 10 cases.
The map of coronavirus cases
At the same time, the latest EODY report shows that six areas are on the list of those with the highest corona cases.
After the latest incidents in various parts of the region, the map has changed, with six prefectures having the unpleasant “privilege” of being at the top. These are the prefectures of Larissa, Argolida, Xanthi , Kastoria, Kozani and Mount Athos. These prefectures account for more than 50 cases per 100,000 population. Mount Athos and Kastoria have even been on the list since March.
As far as Larissa is concerned, the presence on the list is mainly due to the detection of cases in the area of Nea Smyrni and the Roma settlement, while for Argolida due to the occurrence of cases in a refugee structure in Kranidi.
Loaded by the pandemic, 9 other areas appear: Evros, Thessaloniki, Preveza, Evia, Attica (except for the western sector), Achaia, Ilia and Zakynthos. In these, the impact of the corona was 10 to 49 cases per 100.00 population.
Lower and with less than 10 cases per 100,000 population, Komotini, Kilkis, Drama, Serres, Pieria, Pella, Arta, Lefkada, Fthiotida, Corinth, Messinia, Lesvos and Chios follow.
The three prefectures without a case of coronavirus
The striking fact is that after all this time of pandemic, three prefectures still have not recorded a single case. These prefectures are in Grevena, Evritania and Fokida.
