Two swimmers in danger off Avithos beach yesterday take to hospital for precautionary checks

The Port Authority of Kefalonia was informed at noon today (yesterday) about the existence of two (02) foreign swimmers in danger in the sea area of ​​the beach “AVYTHOS” of Kefallinia.

Immediately the local emergency plan was implemented and for the area a patrol boat LS-EL.AKT., Private boats as well as a patrol vehicle LS-EL.AKT sailed from shore to provide assistance.

The above bathers were located on the shore in good health by the officers of the Port Authority and then they were picked up by an EKAB ambulance and transported to the General Hospital of Kefallinia, for precautionary reasons.
