EMY warns with its emergency bulletin for worsening weather from Sunday morning.
According to the National Meteorological Service, rains and stormy winds are expected, phenomena which will gradually affect the whole country, starting from the west.
The weather will change from the morning hours of Sunday (29-11-2020) from the west, with rain and mainly in the sea-coastal storms, which will be accompanied in places by very strong winds.
A) The strong phenomena will affect:
1) On Sunday (29-11-2020)
From the morning the Ionian islands and gradually Epirus, the western Sterea, the Peloponnese, from the afternoon the Dodecanese, the islands of the eastern Aegean and Thrace and temporarily the eastern Sterea, Evia and the Cyclades. Weakening is expected from late at night in the northwest.
2) On Monday (30-11-2020)
Thrace, Halkidiki, eastern Thessaly, eastern Sterea, Evia, the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese, the Cyclades and Crete. From the evening hours the effects will weaken.
3) From Monday afternoon, stormy northeast winds of 7 to 8 Beaufort will prevail in the northern Aegean.
4) The temperature will drop significantly in the north, which will be felt on Monday in both the central and southern country.
Locally in kefalonia the forecast is rain tomorrow then a few days dry before a lengthy wet period potentially with storms.
