Tomorrow begins, as all this seems, the operation of the large Cadastral Office, which will be based in Athens, at the Olympic Closet of Galatsi, serving also areas of the region. The operation of the office is expected to give impetus to the cadastral mapping of these areas, as its facilities will serve all owners who live permanently in the capital but have real estate in other parts of the country.
- Work on the site, as reported by the “Ethnos”, has been characterized by feverish rhythms in the past few days, in order for the cadastral workshop to operate as soon as possible. According to the information so far, the office of Galatsi will make the preposition for the properties of the Municipality of Athens, while at the level of cadastral will be served the areas in which the collection of property declarations in the regions of Epirus, Thessaly, Ionian Islands, D Greece , Central Greece, Peloponnese, North Aegean, South Aegean, Crete, Xanthi, Drama, Rodopi, Thassos, Chalkidiki, Kastoria, Florina and Pieria.
The City of Athens Property Plan is expected to be unpredictable in April and during this period the owners will have the opportunity to check the data already declared and to apply for a correction if they find errors. By April, however, when the temporary cadastral tables of the City of Athens will be posted, property owners in the capital that have … forgotten have the opportunity to submit even late statements. This can be done at the Athens Cadastral Office, which operates on Patission 48, near the Museum, for the filing of statements and information on all relevant issues.
Meanwhile, according to the “Nation”, along with the deadlines for the current phase of land registration, the deadlines for final corrections and a number of other regions of the country are still running. Thus, by 2019, the corresponding time limits for properties in more than 76 regions of Greece expire, while in 2020 there are others. This is essentially the last opportunity for property owners in these areas to secure their properties so they do not qualify as an “unknown owner”.
Among the areas that end the deadline is the Municipality of Patras, and the owners must until 30 March 2019 have made the final corrections in order not to lose their property.
They will come to the Public
This is because the current legislation provides that all property not declared will be transferred to the State, as well as all the properties claimed by the State on the basis of the “presumption of ownership” of the State. This is why the National Cadastre states at every opportunity that the statements are mandatory and not related to the statement made by the owners in E9.
The process of collecting property declarations in non-cadastral areas in Poros, Hydra, Spetses, Kythira and Antikythira, Lesvos, Lemnos, Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Ithaca is also expected to begin soon .
It is unclear when the statements will begin in the regions which are currently out of process due to appeals from the candidate contractors. These are areas of the Cyclades, Thesprotia, Corfu, Rethymnon, Chania and Malevizi, Heraklion and Hersonissos in Heraklion.
