West Greece-Ionian Islands: The last opportunity for property owners to ensure land registration complete

Meanwhile, according to the “Nation”, along with the deadlines for the current phase of land registration, the deadlines for final corrections and a number of other regions of the country are still running. Thus, by 2019, the corresponding time limits for properties in more than 76 regions of Greece expire, while in 2020 there are others. This is essentially the last opportunity for property owners in these areas to secure their properties so they do not qualify as an “unknown owner”.

Among the areas that end the deadline is the Municipality of Patras, and the owners must until 30 March 2019 have made the final corrections in order not to lose their property.

This is because the current legislation provides that all property not declared will be transferred to the State, as well as all the properties claimed by the State on the basis of the “presumption of ownership” of the State. This is why the National Cadastre states at every opportunity that the statements are mandatory and not related to the statement made by the owners in E9.
