Where the mask is mandatory in Greece ? – The fines for not wearing one!

The use of a mask due to coronavirus from today has become mandatory in supermarkets for both employees and customers, however it is important for citizens to know that the mask remains mandatory in other businesses and beyond.

In fact, in some cases, non-compliance by citizens carries a fine.

Where is the mask required?
The protective mask for coronavirus is mandatory:

  • in Public Transport
  • in taxis
  • in hospitals
  • in the doctor’s offices
  • in diagnostic centers
  • in beauty salons
  • in supermarkets
  • on ships
  • on planes

Where is the fine imposed and how much?

  • in supermarkets: 150 euros
  • in Public Transport: 150 euros
  • in taxis: 150 euros
  • in hairdressers: Fine 1,000 euros if he does not have a list of appointments, a fine of 150 euros for not keeping distance and not using a mask
  • On ships and planes if passengers do not wear a mask they do not board the trip.
  • Hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers and beauty salons are not allowed to enter without a mask.
  • For visits to museums there is a recommendation for the use of the mask, however in some museums, such as that of the Acropolis (mentioned on the official site) it is mandatory.
