Zakynthos- students in quarantine after bus driver tested positive for coronavirus

As of this morning, students of the 1st School of Kambos are in quarantine and out of school for precautionary reasons, who were transported to and from the school by the bus driven by the 55-year-old driver who was found positive last night in the coronary artery.

Late last night and after the results of the test performed on the driver became known, there was an immediate mobilization of the Directorate of Primary Education as the professional driver, working in a private company, performed one of the itineraries that served the specific school.

The Regional Directorate of Education, the PEZ, the Director of the School and of course EODY were immediately informed, while all the parents and students of the children who used the specific route were informed.

The approximately 30 students who reportedly show no symptoms will remain in quarantine for the next 14 days.

It should be noted that according to the Primary School Principal, the school is operating normally, all the prescribed protocols have been observed, while it is important that the driver and the students wore a mask during the journey to and from the school that lasts no more than 15 minutes.
